Akshay Oberoi: I’m not Shah Rukh Khan that people are waiting in line for my dates, they’ll just replace me!

Akshay Oberoi has been one of the most prolific actors we have in recent times. He has time and again done movies and shows which have become sleeper hits. However, he still gets to live in anonymity as he is away from the big flashlights of stardom. Bollywood Bubble recently caught up with Akshay Oberoi. Speaking about the ongoing topic of nepotism and the insider-outsider debate, he went candid and gave a very realistic view of how things are for him.

He had been shooting for two films simultaneously and we asked him about whether or not he used to get jiffy about which character he was playing. Have a look at Akshay’s response here:

Akshay said, “I am coming from a place where I can’t afford to say no to good work. No one will wait for me. So I can’t say that. They will swiftly replace me with some other actor. I am not Shah Rukh Khan that people are waiting in line for my dates.”

Akshay basically had to manage the dates between shooting for his two projects with Richa Chadha and Urvashi Rautela. It really must have been hectic, but that’s how it is for people who’re not in the big starry leagues. Despite the fact that Akshay belongs to the family of the Oberois, no one bothers about that and merits him totally on his hard work, perseverance and efforts to make a character come alive onscreen.

In the same interview, Akshay even opens up about Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise and the whole chaos around it. He has spoken some really great points and must be applauded for the guts to talk so freely about the topic.
