Katrina Kaif and director Ali Abbas Zafar‘s friendship is one of the most celebrated friendships in Bollywood. Their union goes back to the year 2011 when the duo collaborated for a movie called, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. Post which, there was no looking back for this director-actress duo and the two recently delivered a hit ‘Tiger Zinda Hai which also featured Salman Khan. And, as the fate had it, Katrina, who had initially turned down a cameo in Ali’s upcoming directorial ‘Bharat’, now has a full fledged role. Well, it all happened due to Priyanka Chopra’s last minute decision to walk out of the movie.
Coming back to the camaraderie the two share, Katrina Kaif recently revealed the sweet nickname the director has for her. In an interaction with DNA, Kat said, “He (Ali Abbas Zafar) calls me Goldfish.” It sounds good, but we wonder what’s the secret behind calling the actress a ‘Goldfish’. Let’s wait for director himself to answer the same.
Speaking about their latest venture ‘Bharat’, Katrina will commence shooting for the movie next month onwards, while her co-stars Salman Khan and Disha Patani have already kickstarted the shoot for the film.
‘Bharat’ is an adaptation of Korean film ‘Ode to My Father’ (2014). Apart from Salman, Katrina and Disha, the film also features comedian Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles.
