Comedian Ali Asgar had a narrow escape in a car accident

Ali Asgar escaped unhurt in a car accident yesterday. The actor-comedian was waiting at the signal in South Mumbai when a car rammed into his car which caused his vehicle ram into a truck. Ali is totally shaken with what had happened. While narrating the entire incident to Times of India, he said, “I was driving the car. The entire car is damaged. I was waiting at the signal and suddenly I felt a loud thud and the next thing I realised, my car went ahead and hit a truck parked in front.”

He further said, “By God’s grace nothing happened. I dread to think what would have happened had it been a moving car or if there were people walking. Why this rash driving? I am shaken after this.”

Ali even took to micro-blogging site Twitter to thank the Mumbai Police for helping him. He wrote, “Just wanted to Thank Pydhonie Police Station..specially PSI Liladhar Patil for being warm, understanding & helpful.”

Ali Asgar is popularly known for his character of Dadi in ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’. He was last seen in the comedy show ‘Kanpur Waale Khurranas.’ Recently he even appeared in films like ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Amavas’.
