Ali Fazal bags the Best Actor nomination at the Asia Content Awards by the Busan International Film Festival

Ali Fazal was recently seen in the anthology Ray that also starred Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Radhika Madan, Harsvardhan Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon and others. Ali starred in the one titled Forget Me Not by Srijit Mukherji. Forget Me Not was based on Satyajit Ray’s short story Bipin Chowdhury’r Smritibhrom. Ali was seen playing the character of Ipsit Rama Nair who never forgot a single detail, but unfortunate events make his life take a turn for the worse. Ali Fazal has been recently nominated under the Best Actor category at the Asia Content Awards by the Busan International Film Festival for his role in Ray. Along with Ali, also nominated in the same category is Terrance Lau for Leap Day, Bai Yu for The Long Night, Lee Je-hoon for Move to Heaven, Sakai Masato for Hanzawa Naoki and finally Song Joong Ki in Vincenzo.

Expressing his gratitude, Ali took to his Twitter account and shared a news piece by a portal that talked about his nomination. He wrote, “I suppose i must be thankful to the peeps at BUSAN international film festival. Very kind. Just saw my name in the nominations for Best actor. And to the team of Ray for the nominations as well. #Ray”

Further, in a statement talking about his nomination, Ali said, “Wow! This was totally unexpected. I am so humbled to receive this nomination and it means a lot to be recognized by ACA. A lot of great content was produced this year in Asia and to land a nomination amongst such an impressive lineup of films and actors is an honour.”

Apart from Ali, another Bollywood actor who also made to the nominations is Nushrratt Bharuccha who bagged a space in the Best Actress list for Ajeeb Daastaans.
