Ali Fazal shares morning selfie; trolls call him ‘Sasta Wolverine’

The lockdown and especially staying away from your loved ones are taking a toll on everyone’s lives. Social media is bombarded with celebs’ funny videos and selfies as they are busy keeping their fans updated about how they are spending this home quarantine time. Actor Ali Fazal recently shared his morning selfie. And guess what? He was trolled by the netizens for his apparent similarity with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine character.

Sharing his morning selfie, Ali took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “I woke up like this and luckily the camera was around. So I clicked. The second pic is me faking a fake shock. I saw someone post a pic yesterday with a similar expression and it said – impromptu expressions, just came from nowhere. Sweety, Virus ideology hai. Har jagah naaaahi tsalega.. now go back to my 1st statement. Do you believe it? #Narrative (sic)“

Trolls flooded the comment section of the ‘Fukrey’ actor’s post. One of the trolls called Fazal “Sasta Wolverine” whereas another user commented, “Looks like Adrian Pimento from Brooklyn 99”. The actor was even called Desi Hugh Jackman.

Amidst the lockdown, Ali is also keeping himself busy by writing scripts. Talking about the process, the actor told IANS, “Writing is an entirely fresh experience for me. The first few days of lockdown were difficult when, like everyone else, I was trying to make sense of the new normal. I realised the value of art and cinema. It’s a slice-of-life story which cherishes life. There is a bittersweet quality about the film. At a time like now, it’s necessary to re-look at life from a fresh perspective and I hope I am able to do that with this film.”

The actor was supposed to tie the knot with Richa Chadha in April, however, owing to the Coronavirus scare the couple has pushed their wedding.
