Ali Fazal to felicitate this veteran Hollywood actor at Santa Barbara Film Festival

Actor Ali Fazal is on cloud nine. After a cameo in ‘Furious 7’, his lead role in the movie ‘Victoria & Abdul’ has been taking him places. The actor’s lead role in the movie catapulted him to global success. He became the first Indian actor to deliver a speech at the 7th Annual Hollywood Contenders. Now, he will be felicitating the legendary Judi Dench at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Judi will be honoured with the annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Films and Ali will be joining three of Judi’s co-stars for a special tribute presentation for the veteran actress.

At the ceremony, Ali will be delivering a speech wherein he will be joined by other actors like Jeff Bridges and Armie Hammer. It’s indeed a very proud moment for Ali. He said, “It was a world of a different experience to work with Judi Dench. She’s a powerhouse of a talent and I have learned so much from her. And now to be able to be on a platform honoring her is actually an honor for me. She’s rightfully deserving of this award and so much more. She’s one of the most humble, hard-working, energetic people I have met who still has so much appetite to learn. Meanwhile, the actor will be seen in Mrigdeep Singh Lamba’s movie ‘Fukrey Returns’ which also stars his alleged girlfriend actress Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh. The movie is slated to release on Dec 8, 2017. On the personal front, the actor is said to be dating actress Richa Chadha. Recently, Richa became the first Indian to get featured in internationally acclaimed entrepreneurial author Timothy Ferris’ book ‘Tribe of Mentors’ alongside renowned personalities like Ashton Kutcher, Ben Stillar, Jimmy Fallon and so on.
