Actor Ali Fazal, who grabbed headlines with his cameo in Hollywood blockbuster “Furious 7”, will soon be featuring in a spaghetti Western that will be made in India.
Speaking at singer Tochi Raina’s special concert here to raise funds for Nepal’s earthquake victims, the “Fukrey” actor commented that “this is the first time a spaghetti Western film is made in India.”
Fazal, 28, said that he will be paired opposite “Fukrey” co-star Richa Chadda in the film which will be directed by Raja Choudhury.
Spaghetti Western is a genre of films popularized by Italian filmmakers from 1960 and 1980 including films by Sergio Leone like “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” starring Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood.
These films consisted of action involving trickery and lot of stylish stunts.
Ali will be seen playing a crucial role in Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan’s directorial “Love Affair” which also stars Kalki Koechlin, Gulshan Devaiah and Monica Dogra.
