Ali Fazal’s special fanboy time with Sridevi

Ali Fazal is slowly making his presence felt in the West. The actor, who also has an upcoming sting in Bollywood, is working on ‘Victoria & Abdul’ beside Judi Dench. It happens to be a biographical story of queen Victoria and her relationship with her Indian servant Abdul Karim.

We earlier reported to you how Ali’s costumes from the show will be displayed at a former royal residency of the UK. Recently, the actor attended the prestigious annual dinner of Hollywood Foreign Press Association. But he was in for a surprise there!

” It was indeed a pleasant surprise to meet Sridevi there. It was a great evening, well spent with some of the biggest names from Hollywood. I told her how much I admire her as an actress and how till date is an inspiration for so many. We spoke about ‘Victoria & Abdul’ and she was excited to know about it. She even expressed her desire to see the film soon,” the actor said. 

“The HFPA is such a respected body of such dignified personnel. Then the icing on the cake was meeting legends like Dustin Hoffman. It was a first of its kind experience for me. The members of HFPA were really excited ahead of our world Premiere and festival rounds next month,” he added.

As far as Sridevi is concerned, the actress made her comeback this year, five years after ‘English Vinglish’, in the movie ‘MOM’. She was much applauded for playing to conviction the role of a mother whose daughter has been raped, and who can go to any extent to get the revenge.
