Now, news has emerged that the actress has now signed her 12th film under KJo’s banner.

Alia Bhatt to star in a prison break movie

A source told Pinkvilla that Alia Bhatt is set to dive into new waters with an action-packed thriller movie directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Dharma Productions. Sharing the details of the upcoming movie, the source stated, “Vasan Bala is known for his distinct storytelling and unconventional narratives. His film with Alia Bhatt also promises to be a refreshing and unique cinematic experience for Hindi audiences.”

Further, the source revealed the concept of the story and gave a gist of the actress’s role. “Alia will be seen playing one of the most challenging roles of her career in this movie, and she is excited to go on this new adventure and explore a genre she hasn’t attempted before. Bala has written a cracking jailbreak story, and people who are aware of this project are already excited about it. This is going to be a heck of an interesting movie,” added the source.

The upcoming movie is still awaiting an official title, it will revolve around a gripping prison break narrative. Director Vasan Bala, known for his movies like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and Monica, O My Darling, has been entrusted with the directorial reins. Currently, the movie is in the pre-production phase. It is reported that the movie will begin filming in September 2023.

It will be exciting to see Alia Bhatt take on a challenging role in a prison-break movie. Will she play a prisoner? will she play a cop? Or is it something we can’t even imagine only time will tell. But, we are sure of one thing the actress won’t disappoint.
