Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor finally came out with their years of labour Brahmastra today. This Ayan Mukerji directorial had been a dream project for the director and after a decade of staying with the film, he has finally presented it for the audience to see. The film has been a topic of discussion since its first announcement and the excitement around it has just increased with time. Brahmastra has received one of the biggest worldwide releases as it has opened to 8000 screens across the world. It is also one of the most expensive films ever made in Indian cinema, but with the vision that Ayan has promised, it seems all worth it.

While the whole film is like a treat for the fans because of its extravagance and the magnificence of its VFX, there is something special for the fans of Katrina Kaif as well. Yes, you read that right, the film does have a special tribute for the actress, and it is done in a very sweet way. The lead pair of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt dance to Katrina’s Chikni Chameli in one of the sequences and that is how the actress is remembered in the film.

Brahmastra has emerged as one of the most exciting films of the year, and that excitement is now translating at the box office as well. Apart from Ranbir, Alia, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna, with reported cameos from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film is being turned into a trilogy with today’s release being the first one in it as Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva.
