Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani FIRST LOOK: Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are here to steal hearts

The year 2023 marks 25 years of Karan Johar as a director. Leading up to his birthday on May 25, the filmmaker promised a surprise for his audience. And come Thursday morning, Karan lived up to that by unveiling the first look of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

The audience got a glimpse into the world of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani when Karan shared a BTS video from the sets during the course of the film’s shoot. Ranveer and Alia’s looks had been quite awaited since then. Now that Karan has officially introduced his Rocky and Rani, the characters have lived up to that hype.

Introducing his Rocky aka Ranveer, Karan wrote, “An absolute ‘heartthrob’, who wears his own heart on his sleeve – meet Rocky!” The actor looks quite in his zone and in sync with his real life personality as well. The energy of Rocky just oozes out in these posters.

Alia Bhatt as Rani

Unveiling the first look of Rani aka Alia, the filmmaker wrote, “Ladies & gentlemen, the queen is here to steal your hearts – meet Rani!” Alia just pierces right through your heart with her gaze. There is a unique charm in her look that spells class and elegance.

Ranveer and Alia became an instant favourite onscreen couple with their first outing Gully Boy. But RARKPK marks their first out-and-out love story. If the posters are something to go by, this is surely going to be a treat for the audience.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani release date

RARKPK also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. It marks Karan’s return to the director’s chair after 7 years. His last feature directorial was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. RARKPK will release theatrically on July 28, 2023.
