Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan to come together for the third part of ‘Dulhania’ franchise- Report

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are one of the most loved onscreen pairs of Bollywood. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt made their debut in Bollywood together with Student of the Year. Later, they starred together in Shashank Khaitan’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The duo share a great chemistry. The first part of the Dulhania franchise was released in 2014, and the second was released in 2017. Since then, fans are waiting for the third part. Now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, the third part is already in the works.

Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “The Dulhania franchise is extremely special for Karan, Varun, Alia, and Shashank, and the team really wants to come together for part 3. They have discussed a few ideas among themselves, however, they are yet to finalise the script. Once the story is locked they will figure out the other logistics. Just like the first two parts, the third film two will thrive on romance, endearing characters, and the overall innocence of the story and the characters.”

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Varun had opened up on the possibility of collaborating with Alia again. The actor had said, “She is someone who is very close to my heart, and we share incredible chemistry. You can’t just make that today. We are good friends, we care for each other, and respect each other. I actually want to work with Alia again. I think it will happen, maybe sometime in the future.”

On the work front, Varun is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bhediya with Kriti Sanon. Bhediya is slated to release on November 25. He also has Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor.

Talking about Alia, she has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. She is also set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. The film also stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Sophie Okonedo and Matthias Schweighofer. On the other hand, she is expecting her first child with Ranbir Kapoor.
