Jigra starring Alia Bhat and Vedang Raina has been loved by one and all. From making the viewers emotional with their sibling bond to the raw action, fans are impressed with the movie. However, it is Alia’s exceptional performance as Satya has left etched in everyone’s mind. Her resilient act and intensity do full justice to the film. It emotionally connects with the audience. Jigra breaks away from traditional action film tropes, offering a fresh and innovative approach.
Moreover, it is not just the emotional quotient but the freshness in this new-age action film that has left everyone impressed. The modern take on action, slick actioner with bodycam shots etc. are slick and add a different value to the movie. We even went through social media to see the people’s reactions and they loved it. A fan commented, “Jigra has #AliaBhatt performing some of the most illogical and absurd stunts and an equally bizarre jail break sequences which makes you question whether some of these so-called critics are purposely being soft on this movie because of their personal biases!”
There was another one who said, “Satya in #Jigra. Another badass and unapologetic portrayal of a female lead by Hindi Cinema! No one is doing it like Bollywood in 2024. Momentary bumps in the screenplay with language & the ultimate rescue mission. The sibling core however is a stand out. Real liked it.”
Bollywood Bubble gave 3.5 stars to Vasan Bala’s directorial venture. A part of the review read, “Jigra is a must-watch in theatres, to enjoy Alia Bhatt in her Mama Bear era as she delivers both an emotional and action-packed performance. While Alia did deliver a commendable performance with emotional intensity, overall, the film falls short owing to a predictable screenplay.”
Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra was released on October 11.
