Gangubai Kathiawadi: Alia Bhatt looks powerful in new poster as she ANNOUNCES trailer release date

Actor Alia Bhatt who will be playing the titular role in Gangubai Kathiawadi is now gearing up to release the trailer of the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial venture has been piquing everyone’s interest; however, due to the COVID pandemic, the film’s release date kept shifting. However, the film has once again been postponed and now it will hit at the end of February. As there’s still time to meet Gangubai onscreen, she is all set to give you a little glimpse of her life in a couple of days.

Well, while sharing the new poster of the film, Alia even announced the release date of Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer which will be released on February 4. Talking about the poster, Alia is seen lying on a bed, oozing power and fierce. Leaving her hair open and donning a white saree, Alia’s expression speaks about power and leadership. Well, last year we saw a teaser of Gangubai which completely bowled us over and now this poster is really leaving us intrigued.

Reportedly, Gangubai Kathiawadi is adapted from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. It is about Ganga Harjivandas, a simple girl of Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. The film shows how she marks her own territory and turns Gangubai, a madame in the red light area of Kamathipura.

Also starring Ajay Devgn, Gangubai Kathiawadi will release on February 25.
