Alia Bhatt blames her sister Shaheen Bhatt for the delay in ‘Aashiqui 3’

The ‘Aashiqui’ franchise is quite dear to the Bhatts. The first instalment of this film was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and it was a super duper hit. The second instalment was produced by the Bhatts and again, it turned out to be a hit. And well, following this, now there’s a lot of hullabaloo over the thirds instalment of this franchise.

For long, we have been coming across the reports stating that Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra are the ones to feature in this next instalment of ‘Aashiqui’. The project is quite interesting because it is for the first time that Alia will be collaborating with her father Mahesh Bhatt for any project. And secondly, the alleged couple, Alia and Sidharth would be seen romancing on screen, making it a special film. But still, there’s no certainty on what is happening on the film exactly.

Mahesh Bhatt had few days back revealed that ‘Aashiqui 3’ is not happening anytime soon, but Alia’s latest interview has revealed that the movie is surely happening.

When asked about ‘Aashiqui 3’, she quoted to Hindustan Times, “They have been working on the script. Yes, I will do the film as I love the concept, but they have to get the script so that we can talk in a concrete manner. We just can’t shoot whatever we want. It’s something we are looking at doing for sure. So, my sister (Shaheen Bhatt; writer of the film’s script) is to be blamed for it (laughs). But she is also working on two-three other things (scripts).”
