Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who is actively promoting her latest film Jigra, has opened up about her ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) diagnosis for the first time. In a recent interview, Bhatt offered personal insights into her journey, discussing how she came to recognize her condition and its impact on her daily life.
Alia Bhatt opens up on her ADHD diagnosis
In an interview with Lallantop, reflecting on her childhood, Bhatt recalled early signs of ADH. Alia mentions that she often feels zoned out. “From a young age, I would find myself drifting away during class or conversations,” she shared. This prompted her to seek a psychological evaluation, which ultimately confirmed her place on the ADHD spectrum.
While her friends were not surprised by the diagnosis, it was an eye-opening moment for Bhatt. “Whenever I shared this with my friends, they would say, ‘We always knew.’ For them, it wasn’t a revelation, but for me, it was,” she explained.
Alia Bhatt finds serenity in Acting and Motherhood
Despite the hurdles associated with ADHD, Alia Bhatt revealed that she has discovered moments of tranquillity in her life. She expressed how acting and spending time with her daughter, Raha, bring her a sense of calm. “I realized that I feel at peace when I’m in front of the camera; I’m incredibly present when embodying the characters I play. Similarly, after Raha’s arrival, I am most present when I’m with her. Those are the two instances in my life where I truly find peace,” she said.
