On March 9, we brought you the exclusive news of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali testing positive for Covid-19. Following the director’s diagnosis, the shooting of Gangubai Kathiawadi came to a halt. On the same day, Neetu Kapoor confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor has also contracted the deadly Coronavirus.
With both Ranbir and Sanjay testing positive, speculations surrounding Alia’s health were rife. The actress has now finally confirmed that she has tested negative for Covid-19. The Brahmastra actress also revealed that she has resumed work. Read on to know the details.
Sharing her health update, Alia took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “I’ve been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for Covid-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today.”

A few days back, Alia’s boyfriend Ranbir had tested positive for Covid. Since Ranbir is not on social media, the news was confirmed by his mother Neetu Kapoor. “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions,” the veteran actress had shared.
