Alia Bhatt fans hit out at indecent trolls for slamming her facetime session with Riddhima during Rishi Kapoor’s funeral

Owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, reportedly only twenty members (including friends) of the Kapoor family were allowed to attend Rishi Kapoor‘s funeral. Ranbir Kapoor‘s girlfriend Alia Bhatt was by his side throughout the funeral. Pictures of the actress that surfaced on social media, showed her holding a phone while attending the funeral.

A section of the netizens started trolling Alia as they wondered why was she recording the last rites rituals. However, the actress’ fans lashed at trolls stating that she was actually on a video call with Rishi’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

Ranbir’s sister Riddhima stays in Delhi. Unfortunately due to the lockdown, she was unable to fly back to attend her father’s funeral. So Alia was just helping her attend the funeral via video conferencing.

But heartless trolls, who never ceases to share their uncalled for opinion, attacked the ‘Dear Zindagi’ actress for using a phone in the middle of attending a funeral. One of the trolls wrote, “More like photo session. where is the clothes? Hair clip for your father funeral? Alia is busy clicking photo? Fake people! Felt sorry for Rishi Kapoor ji!(sic).”

However soon, Alia’s fans came to her rescue and lashed out at the trolls. One of her fans defending her actions wrote, “#AliaBhatt was not using a phone. She was on a Video call with #RishiKapoor ji daughter coz she could not reach due to lockdown. (Nothing more worst than this) At least leave them this day alone. Only trolling and mocking people know without clearing facts. Heartless creatures.(sic)”

One of her fans went out to even share a proof that Alia was video calling Riddhima. “#AliaBhatt Enough is enough guys..here is the proof of why alia was using the phone..watch the phone in the hands of Rima jain ji who is sitting on the floor videocalling riddhima..watch it’s back cover(magenta)same as the phone Alia was holding later stop this now #RishiKapoor(sic),” the fan wrote.

Actor Ashish Chowdhary lauded Alia for being a beautiful soul. “Holding up a phone camera for a daughter who couldn’t be there to bid goodbye to her beloved Dad is beautifully human@aliaa08#RiddhimaKapoorSahni, ” he wrote.

Riddhima has sought special permissions from the concerned authorities to travel by flight to reach Mumbai amidst the lockdown. Apparently she couldn’t receive the required permissions and hence she was unable to attend her father’s funeral.

67-year-old Rishi Kapoor was battling cancer for the last two years. He was suffering from leukaemia. The veteran actor breathed his last in a Mumbai’s hospital on April 30.
