The report stated that apparently due to exertion and exhaustion, Alia Bhatt was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on January 17. The ‘Student Of The Year’ actress was also discharged on the same day.

A source was told Bollywood Hungama, “Alia Bhatt is back to work after her break in the month of December 2020 when she was in Ranthambore National Park. The actress resumed shooting earlier last week. But, due to exertion and exhaustion, on Sunday, January 17, she was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. After taking some rest and regaining strength, she was discharged on the very same day. Alia Bhatt, who is very professional, wants to complete her commitments, returned to the sets of Gangubai Kathiwadi on January 18, 2021.”

However, Alia’s Gangubai Katiawadi co-star Seema Pahwa said that the former must be exhausted for some other reason rather than because of the film’s shoot.“I wasn’t a part of the shoot that day. However, I must say that she might have got exhausted for some other reason than the film’s shoot. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is someone who doesn’t rush you with work. He knows what he wants. He is very clear and hardly shoots one scene a day. Things have worked smoothly as far as the film’s shoot is concerned,” Seema told Times of India.

Well, we are glad that Alia is hale and hearty and has returned to what she loves the most i.e shooting. Coming back to Gangubai Kathiwadi, it is a biographical crime film based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The Bhansali directorial also features Emraan Hashmi and Ajay Devgn.
