Alia Bhatt lauds Kriti Sanon for Mimi, proves that Bollywood’s current female superstars are all about rooting for one another

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, are the two most talented actresses in Bollywood. They are currently ruling the industry. Recently, Alia and Kriti took home their prestigious National Award home. The actress jointly received the Best Actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively. Following the awards ceremony, Alia showered love on Kriti. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress congratulated Kriti on her big win.

Alia heaps praises on Kriti Sanon

At the celebratory dinner, Alia was asked about what she feels like sharing an award with Kriti, and she said, “Well, Kriti is… genuinely when I saw her performance in Mimi… From my heart… This is wayyy before any National Award/anything was happening… before she even won a filmfare award… I just messaged her because I thought she hit such genuine notes, not being a mother emoting and expressing all those emotions with such nuance and such sensitivity. I thought it was really, really commendable.”

The actress added, “When we both found out we won… we both called each other and said that we both were so happy for each other because we loved each other’s performance.”

Earlier in an Instagram post, Kriti too showered love on Alia. Reacting to their photo together, Kriti said, “Aliaaaaa @aliabhatt. Our smiles say it all!!! Will remember our moment we shared just before getting on stage. P.S. Ranbir did click a cute pic haa!” We love Alia and Kriti’s friendship. Also, we love how they’ve been rooting for one another.

The actress’ photos and videos from the National Awards ceremony earlier went viral on social media. Their moments together are proof of how much they support each other’s work. Even earlier when the winners were announced, Kriti and Alia celebrated each other’s big win. This was another instance that spoke volumes of their close bond. Given that they’re both at the top of the game, it’s nice to see the actresses being each other’s cheerleaders.
