Alia Bhatt on producing film directed by Ranbir Kapoor: If he doesn’t let me produce it, I’ll be very upset

Alia Bhatt attended the trailer launch of her upcoming movie titled Darlings, with which, the actress has turned a producer for the very first time. During the trailer launch of Darlings, the actress was asked about her plans of producing her husband, Ranbir Kapoor’s films. For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor had expressed his desire to direct a movie, when he was promoting his film Shamshera.

Alia Bhatt has reacted to the same and expressed her interest on producing a film directed by Ranbir Kapoor. When the actress was asked about Kapoor’s statement about directing a film, she mentioned she would be upset if he does not let her produce it. Alia Bhatt revealed how Ranbir Kapoor told her she is a ‘tyrant’ and that he needs her to produce his film.

The Darlings actress said, “We did discuss it. I actually told him that if you don’t make me produce it, I’ll be very upset! I told him if you don’t want to take me as an actor, that’s totally fine. He told me, ‘No no, I need you, you’re a tyrant’.”

Earlier, a few days ago, speaking with Filmibeat, Ranbir said, “During the lockdown, I wrote a story, which I liked very much. But I don’t have that skill to go and share that story with people and make a film with them. But yes, direction is more on my wish list than production. Well, my wife is a producer and is a very good producer, so maybe she can produce my film.”

On the work front, Bhatt was last seen in the movie RRR. She has the film Darlings, and Jee Le Zaraa in her kitty. Alia and Ranbir have the movie Brahmastra together. Kapoor has the film Animal, apart from Brahmastra, in his kitty.
