Alia Bhatt on working with Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra in Jee Le Zaraa: That experience is going to be completely different

Alia Bhatt unveiled the trailer of her maiden production venture, Darlings, under her newly formed boutique production house Eternal Sunshine, yesterday and it has been receiving some rave reviews and lots of love. The film releasing on August 5 on Netflix also sees Alia in the lead and going by the trailer, the actress has given an amazing performance in the film.

Darlings has a strong female presence as the film is directed by debutante Jasmeet K Reen and also features Shefali Shah in the lead alongside Alia. And the actress herself is leading the film from two fronts, as the lead and as a producer. But this isn’t the first time she has worked in a majorly female-influenced environment.

Alia Bhatt has worked with Meghna Gulzar in Raazi, with Zoya Akhtar in Gully Boy and soon she will be working with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra in Jee Le Zaraa that marks the return to direction for Farhan Akhtar.

During an interaction, when asked if working with so much female energy changes the work environment in any way, Alia replied, “I don’t feel it changes really because my energy is kind of the same whether it’s with another woman or a man. The creative energy is just so much more exciting because I respect and love these women so much. So, that maybe is a different journey.”

Alia Bhatt then went on to talk a little more about Jee Le Zaraa expressing her excitement to shoot the film. She shared, “I think maybe it will be a little different being on a film set with me, Katrina and Priyanka. Like I am sure that journey and experience is going to be completely different but we are directed by a man, Farhan is directing us. So, that energy in fact will be a little bit more exciting. The fact that even Zoya directed a film of three men, and Farhan is directing a film of three women, that is more fun na, the play of dynamics.”
