Alia Bhatt praises Priyanka Chopra Jonas for her inspiring Hollywood journey, says ‘I don’t think I could do that’

After establishing her position as a top actress in the Indian film industry, Alia Bhatt marked her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. In the film, Alia plays the role of the antagonist, hacker Keya Dhawan, who will battle against Gal’s Rachel Stone to acquire a dangerous weapon. The film directed by Tom Harper and co-starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan releases on August 11. Ahead of the release, Alia Bhatt opened up about having a future in Hollywood like Priyanka Chopra. She also cited the difference between Hollywood and Bollywood working Hours.

Ahead of Alia Bhatt, several actresses from Bollywood have been a part of Hollywood projects. However, it’s Priyanka Chopra’s success that serves as an inspiration. During an interview, Alia was asked about her plans in Hollywood. She was asked if she sees herself moving to the U.S., like her friend Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

The actress answered, “I think what Priyanka did was extremely brave and very different from what anyone has ever done. She’s such an inspiration to every young girl from India that has that big dream to be a global icon and a global star. I don’t think I could do that. I want to continue to do movies in India. And I want to be able to get these one-off, amazing international opportunities.” She added, “I still don’t know what I’m doing. It’s just this one film and we’ll see how it goes from here.”

She further spilled beans about the difference in working hours between Hollywood and Bollywood. She averred, “The days were shorter on Heart of Stone but so were the breaks. In India, there would be an hour for lunch, 30 minutes for snacks, and a later finish time.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress is currently basking in the success of her recently released film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She will next be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa. Apart from this, reports are rife that she may join YRF’s spy universe. As per reports, she has Baiju Bawra and Vasan Bala’s upcoming thriller in her kitty.
