Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor reveal daughter’s name as the actress shares FIRST glimpse of their baby

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have finally revealed the name of their baby girl today, on November 24. The couple has named their daughter, Raha. Alia shared a family picture (blur) featuring herself, Ranbir and their little one. Ranbir can be seen holding their baby in his arms while Alia adorably looking at both. The picture has an image with a baby Barcelona Football Club jersey framed on wall and name ‘Raha’ printed on it. The new mommy has also revealed the meaning of their daughter’s name. She also wrote that the name of her baby was chosen by her ‘wise and wonderful Dadi’, Neetu Kapoor.

Sharing the meaning of Raha, Alia wrote, “Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy,In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan,In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss.” She added, “And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! ❤️”

Alia ended her post, “Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️”

Alia and Ranbir welcomed their first child on November 6. On the same day, they had announced the birth of their daughter in a joint note that read: “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! love, love, love. Alia and Ranbir.”

Alia and Ranbir got married on April 14, 2022. They announced pregnancy on June 27.

On the work front, Bhatt will be seen in Jee Le Zaraa co-starring Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. She also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Hollywood film, Heart of Stone in her kitty. While Ranbir will be seen in Animal and Luv Ranjan’s untitled film with Shraddha Kapoor.
