Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani trailer has a moment where Alia Bhatt talks about marriage and that reminds us of Ranbir Kapoor.

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has created quite the excitement since the trailer was released. Not only did the trailer give us an insight into the storyline but also managed to keep left us wanting more. Recently, while watching the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani trailer, we realised that there’s a Ranbir Kapoor connection and that too it’s through Alia Bhatt.

The Ranbir Kapoor connection in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

The Karan Johar directed movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has fun and impactful dialogues. One such dialogue said by Alia Bhatt caught out attention and it has a connection to Ranbir Kapoor. Back in 2013, KJo produced the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which was directed by Ayan Mukerji. It was a complete blockbuster and the dialogues from the movie are engraved in our hearts. Ranbir’s character Bunny YJHD once said, “Shaadi is like dal chawal for pachaas saal till you die. (Marriage is like dal rice for 50 years till you die).” This made us realise that Alia Bhatt’s character Rani also brought up the 50 years reference.

In the trailer, Alia aka Rani and Ranveer aka Rocky are discussing their plans to adjust with each other’s family for their happy future. That’s when Alia put forwards the idea of switching families and says, “It’s a switch. Teen mahine ke liye tu mere gharpe aur main tere gharpe. Agar yeh survive kar paye na toh shayad shaadi ke agle pachaas (50) saal bhi survive karlenge. (It’s a switch. For three months, you go to my house, and I go to yours. If we can survive this then we will be able to get through 50 years of our married life effortlessly).”

Isn’t it super cute to see that after a decade of releasing the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has given us a connection to remember it. Both the dialogues were said in the context of marriage and adjusting to marriage in two different movies by that too by a real-life couple. It couldn’t get more real.

Directed by Karan Johar, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is all set to release in theatres on the date July 28. Apart from Alia and Ranbir, the movie boasts a star-studded cast of veteran actors. Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan play pivotal roles.
