Anushka Sharma and Arjun Kapoor come out in support of Alia Bhatt after she slams media portal for invading her privacy

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram Stories and slammed a media portal for ‘invading her privacy’ on Tuesday. For the uninitiated, Alia was clicked while sitting in the living room of her house. The actress lost her cool as she shared the post and lashed out at the portal for invading her personal space.

Alia shared the post on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my LIVING ROOM when I felt something watching me… I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighboring building with a camera right at me! In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone’s privacy! There’s a line you just cannot cross and it’s safe to say all lines were crossed today! @mumbaipolice.”

Anushka Sharma came out in support of the actress and wrote, “This is not the first time they are doing this. About two years ago we called them out for the same reason! You’d think it would have made them respectful of peoples space and privacy. Absolutely shameful! They were also the only guys posting the photos of our daughter despite repeated requests.”

Arjun Kapoor, who shares a good bond with Alia, wrote, “Absolutely shameless. This is crossing all limits if a woman isn’t feeling safe in her own home forget if she is a public figure or not for a second…. Any sane person who take photographs of public figures for a living needs to know that this is pathetic conduct and these are people in media we have trusted and shown implicit faith in believing they are here to do a job not to make women feel unsafe or invade one’s privacy. This is nothing short of stalking @MumbaiPolice.”

Shaheen Bhatt too came out in support of her sister.

Alia, who welcomed her first child, daughter Raha, with husband-actor Ranbir Kapoor last year is currently enjoying motherhood.

On Monday, Alia attended the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards in the city. The actress won Best Actress award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

On the work front, Alia will be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The actress is set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone which also stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Sophie Okonedo and Matthias Schweighofer.
