Alia Bhatt reminds fans to celebrate flaws, says, ‘Perfection is boring’

Alia Bhatt is one of the most successful stars of Bollywood. Alia received the TIME 100 Impact Award 2022 on Sunday. The mommy-to-be stunned in a bronze gold cape gown by Gauri and Nainika. She also delivered a speech at the event. Now, Alia took to her Instagram and shared some unseen moments from the award show. The actress penned a powerful note on celebrating flaws.

Alia wrote, “There are so many rules these days – especially for women. Don’t be loud. But don’t be timid. Don’t be too curvy. But don’t be too skinny. Have ambition. But don’t overreach. Be confident. But not cocky.”

The actress added, “There are so many rules that knowingly or unknowingly we think in order to be liked, to be loved, to be good, we have to be completely devoid of fault – an impossible, mythical being that could only really exist in the pages of a fairytale. But over the last ten years I’ve come to fully realise something I subconsciously knew all along. Perfection is boring. It’s the flaws that make you, YOU.”

Mouni Roy commented, “You are perfectly imperfect & we LOVE You!!!!” Soni Razdan showered love on her daughter and commented, “So true so true.” Fans too showered her with love. A fan dropped a comment saying, “So proud of you fav.” Another one commented, “QUEEN.” “You are so cute!,” wrote a fan. Another one commented, “Lady love.”

Alia is expecting her first child with hubby, actor Ranbir Kapoor. The couple tied the knot in April, and announced pregnancy in June. On the work front, Alia was seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. The actress shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan. Up next, she will be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. She is set to make her Hollywood debut with ‘Heart of Stone’ which also stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Sophie Okonedo and Matthias Schweighofer.
