Alia Bhatt reveals crying on finding out she was pregnant with Raha, admits, “Khushi ke aansu aagaye”

Alia Bhatt is an established actress who recently turned author with her first children’s book, Ed Finds A Home. The actress – who became a mother in November 2022 with the birth of her and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter Raha, recently got candid about the first she experienced in motherhood. During a recent interaction, the actress got candid about her pregnancy, her reaction to finding out she was pregnant with Raha and the changes motherhood has brought to her life

While chatting with News18 Showsha, after launching her first children’s book, Ed Finds A Home, Alia Bhatt opened up about her reaction to finding out she was pregnant with Raha. Recalling crying on the discovery, the ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actress said, “I was on set, I started crying. Khushi ke aansu.”

When asked about her reaction to seeing Raha, the actress promptly responded, “Magic.” Alia Bhatt further got candid about her reaction to Raha’s milestone moment – including the little munchkin saying her first words. The happy mommy said, “I’m trying to remember because it was some time ago. Of course, excitement. I must have definitely shrieked and screamed. Yeah, it must’ve been some sort of shriek from my side.”

The actress further added that her morning routine has changed since becoming a mother. She said, “Actually, now the process is that Raha comes and wakes us up. The first reaction is to look at her face and give her a big hug. She literally walks in the room and wakes us up.”

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their daughter Raha on November 6, 2022. They officially introduced their princess to the world last Christmas.
