Alia Bhatt reviews Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, urges people to watch it in theatres

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha releases today in theatres after a long wait. The film suffered a delay owing to the pandemic but the buzz around it never withered and today as the film releases, there are a lot of expectations riding on it. And seems like it is living up to it as the word of mouth has been really good till now.

Many people from the industry who have seen the film, have been promoting it and Alia Bhatt is one of them. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress reviewed the film and was all praise for it. She wrote, “Such a beautiful film – Go watch Lal Singh Chaddha only in cinemas!!!!! You don’t want to miss it (sic)”.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the 1994 Oscar winning film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. It sees Aamir stepping into his shoes and also features Naga Chaitanya in his Hindi film debut and Mona Singh. The film tells the story of an innocent man who embarks on an adventurous journey due to circumstances, leaving an inspirational path behind.

A part of our review of the film at Bollywood Bubble reads, “Laal Singh Chaddha is a beautiful story of his life and I’m not mentioning this for the sake of review but it will strike a chord with the cult audience. Nevertheless, it teaches you how life is a golgappa, that no matter how much you eat, your stomach will be full but your heart will never be satisfied… Overall, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is a beautiful adaptation of Forrest Gump. The film is no more or no less than the original.”
