Alia Bhatt says Gauri Khan does not like anything as she reveals her reaction to Darlings

Alia Bhatt is on a roll, the actress who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is debuting as a producer now. The actress has co-produced a Netflix movie titled Darlings with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The soon-to-be mommy is busy promoting her movie on major platforms. During a press conference, she opened up on Gauri Khan’s reaction to the dark comedy.

During a press conference for Darlings, Alia Bhatt talked about Shah Rukh Khan and said the actor was very happy with the final product of Darlings. She further added that SRK’s wife Gauri Khan also loved the movie.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Alia Bhatt said, “I was very happy that Gauri loved it. I was like when Gauri likes my movies, I feel very grateful. It is a very rare thing. She doesn’t like anything. Even though she is a producer of the movie, the fact that she loved it, I feel so relieved. I said that also when they called me, even Shah Rukh agrees that if Gauri likes something, it’s a big win.”

Alia also showered praises on Shah Rukh saying, “He’s extremely sensitive, and not in a patronising way. It comes very naturally to him; the women in his movies and the women in his life, the way he treats women in general… that’s why they all love him; girls, aunties, daadi, chachi, they all love him because of how sensitive he is. Shah Rukh really lifts you on a pedestal.”

Darlings is helmed by first-time director Jasmeet K Reen. The movie marks Alia’s second collaboration with Vijay Verma. They were earlier a part of Zoya Akhtar’s hit flick Gully Boy. Darlings also feature Shefali Shah, Vijay Verma, Roshan Mathew and more in pivotal roles.
The movie will premiere on Netflix on August 5.
