Alia Bhatt to star in Farhan Akhtar next directorial on the lines of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara?

Alia Bhatt sure has an impressive lineup for the year starting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Brahmastra among others. The actress is busy with back-to-back projects and looks like another project is on the way to be signed by her. As per a report, Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar have finally locked a draft similar on the lines of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which starred Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, and Farhan himself. This time around, the story will revolve around three female protagonists on the road to self-discovery and they are keen to cast Alia Bhatt in the main role.

According to the report in Pinkvilla, Farhan is keen to sign up Alia Bhatt for the role and reportedly also spoken to her. Alia has apparently shown her interest in the film and further talks will be held throughout the year. The portal quoted a source saying that Farhan has discussed the idea with Alia who seemed excited about this collaboration. “More meetings will take place through the year, and everyone is optimistic on this association to work out. Apart from Alia, two more A-list actresses will join the gang, however, they are yet to decide on the names.”

The film is most likely to go on floors next year. Meanwhile, speaking about Alia Bhatt, the first look and teaser for Gangubai was released recently and created quite a buzz. The actress blew our minds as Gangubai. Gangubai Kathiawadi releases on July 30, 2021. Bhansali Productions had shared the poster of the movie and captioned it, “Fiery and feisty, she’s ready to reign! Celebrating the man, his vision, and 10th directorial, #GangubaiKathiawadi. Teaser out today. In cinemas on 30th July 2021.(sic)”
