Alia Bhatt, who associated with animal welfare association CoExist to spread compassion towards animals, has taken to Instagram and urged all of us to adopt stray animals.

“If animals accept us for who we are, can we not accept them as they are too ? Adopt a stray!!! RSVP for your #PetCause
Rescue. Shelter. Volunteer. Pledge,” she wrote.

Alia, who herself happens to be a passionate animal lover, has three adopted dogs at her Karjat farmhouse. She is trying to use her social media influence to uphold the noble cause and also spread the words among her fans. (Also Read: Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal-starrer ‘Raazi’ starts rolling)

The ‘Udta Punjab’ actress recently shared how as a child, she would accompany her sister Shaheen Bhatt in rescuing animals. Although initially taken aback, later their mother Soni Razdan also joined the initiative.

All those who follow Alia’s activities on ‘Instagram’, are aware of her super adorable cat Edward, who they lovingly call Edward Bhatt.

On the professional front, she will be next seen Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’.
