Was Alia Bhatt NEVER approached for any role in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana? Find out

Nitesh Tiwari and Madhu Mantena’s Ramayana is one of the most anticipated films, and there’s no denying that. The anticipation for the Indian epic grew when KGF star Yash was roped in. He was added to play the epic character of Ramayana. Reports of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor being a part of the film were making the rounds on the internet. Reportedly, Alia and Ranbir were cast to play the role of Rama and Sita.

Was Alia Bhatt NOT approached for Ramayana?

Speaking of Alia Bhatt, Bollywood Hungama has reported that the actress was NOT approached for any role in Ramayana. A source close to the portal said, “There were speculations about Ranbir Kapoor, which is true. But Aalia Bhatt was never approached for any role in Ramayana. In fact, the film has not yet reached the stage where they offer Sita’s role to anyone; nobody has been approached yet.”

Further, it states that nobody has been approached for Sita’s role. Speaking of which, there have also been reports that the actress was approached for the role and is no longer a part of it. Well, the epic is such that it will require a stunning star cast to justify the film. Regarding the casting, only time can tell who will play the role of which character.

According to the portal, Yash has undergone multiple look tests to play the character of Ravana. However, the finalization of the same is awaited. Reportedly, the casting of Sita and Hanuman will be time-consuming including a few more months. The makers do not want to rush with this epic film and do not want to leave any stone unturned.

Until then, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor delivered stunning performances in Brahmastra. If the two could have been in the upcoming Ramayana, it would have been a delight to watch the duo on-screen.
