Alia Bhatt undoubtedly left us surprised with her effortless portrayal in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Her performance was appreciated at several award functions. But she has all the right reasons to be over the moon as she was bestowed with the coveted National Film Award. The 69th edition of the awards was finally announced on Thursday, August 24. After the win, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note and thanked Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Elated about the proud moment, her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor showered love on her.

The Jugjugg Jeeyo actress is a doting mother-in-law and she never ceases a chance to show her support. After Alia won the award, she shared a note for her stating how proud she is. She gushed, “So so proud of you, for your first national award god bless (sic).” Apart from Neetu Kapoor, mommy Soni Razdan and sister-in-la Ridhima Kapoor Sahni also congratulated her.
