Ever since Alia Bhatt began filming for ‘Kalank’, almost every day we saw her share a post on her Instagram story regarding her shoots. Sometimes it was while travelling, sometimes while she was getting her make-up done. Now, Alia has finally wrapped the first schedule of the film.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Alia Bhatt wrote, “And that’s a schedule wrap for me on ‘Kalank’. But nowwww it’s time.. For…?????”.

She then went on to share a number of stories telling us what’s next by posting single letters starting from B followed by R, A and so on. During the posts, she managed to confuse herself and later revealed that she was referring to ‘Brahmastra‘. Here’s what she wrote:
Recently there were reports of Alia getting injured on the set of the film. Reportedly, she tripped off the stairs and injured her foot. She was immediately given medical treatment and her foot was bandaged, following which she resumed shooting soon after.
Initially, Alia was shooting for ‘Kalank’ and ‘Brahmastra’ simultaneously. A source close to Bombay Times had said, “The films are running against a deadline. Alia understands that and has been working doubly hard to ensure that she reports on time for both the shoots and completes her work before calling it a day. Her co-actors have also been very helpful to ensure she finishes her tasks in time.”

The source added, “The shoots have not been very easy for her because one is a superhero contemporary movie and the other is a period drama. Both the films have very different requirements and she’s toiling hard to fulfill those. After a few weeks, she will shoot only one film at a time, ‘Brahmastra’ for a few weeks followed by ‘Kalank’ for a few weeks, which will give her the breather she needs.”
‘Kalank’, which went on floors in April this year, also stars Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kemmu, Sonakshi Sinha and Hiten Tejwani. Directed by Abhishek Verman and co-produced by Fox Star Studios, Sajid Nadiadwala and Apoorva Mehta, this period drama will release on April 19, 2019.
Her other film, ‘Brahmastra’ stars Alia’s current beau, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. The superhero fantasy film is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and will release on August 15 2019.
