The team of ‘Brahmastra’ has wrapped up the final shoot in Bulgaria and Alia Bhatt returned to Mumbai on Tuesday with a heavy heart. She will be resuming shooting for ‘Kalank’, directed by Abhishek Varman.
Leaving Bulgaria was not easy for the 25-year-old actress. She could’t let go of the time she spent in the city. On this, she said in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, “I spent four–five months in Sofia this year, where we were shooting ‘Brahmastra’. I felt emotional while leaving Bulgaria. It’d have been difficult to get the kind of shots we did there in that time span.”
Though she remained silent on working with her rumoured boyfriend and co-star Ranbir Kapoor, Alia said she felt privileged to share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Brahmastra’. Also, working with Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in ‘Kalank’ was a great experience for her. Alia said, “Every time I am in a room with Mr Bachchan, Madhuri maám or Sanju, I feel grateful. I’ve shot a lot with Madhuri ma’am and had to pinch myself to believe it.”
A couple of days back, Alia shared some monochrome pictures that looked like an emotional adieu to Bulgaria.
Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, ‘Brahmastra’ is helmed by Ayan Mukherji and is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
