If we have a close look at Saif Ali Khan’s filmography, the actor hasn’t delivered a hit film at the box office for almost four years now. From ‘Bullett Raja’ to ‘Humshakals’, ‘Happy Ending’, ‘Phantom’ and lately ‘Rangoon’, all have tanked at the box office. Perhaps, this is the reason that there are reports that the actor has turned a recluse and now wants to be focused around his work.
Recently, the actor celebrated his 47th birthday with a party which saw him along with his family and very close family friends only. Reportedly, there was no big party organised to celebrate this occasion. A source close to Saif has said to an agency, “Saif has realised that friends in Bollywood are only fair-weather ones and their friendship actually does not mean anything except to party during happy times and not entertain you when the going is tough. Saif’s films have not been doing well at all lately. He has understood that his so-called friends from Bollywood only want to work and hobnob with the successful. So, he has decided to stay away from the limelight.” (Also Read: Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Kaalakaandi’ gets 73 cuts by CBFC!)
“Saif is of royal blood. He is now the Nawab of Pataudi. He has to have his lifestyle and life the way he wants it. He does not need the publicity nor the money from films to run his life. So, he has decided to stay aloof from the Bollywood soirees,” added the source.
Further, the reports even suggested that the actor has decided now to change his wardrobe. Saif will now wear clothing that suits his age.
Talking about films, the actor will next be seen in ‘Kaalakaandi’. Apart from this, the ‘Chef’ remake, ‘Baazaar’ and his debut in web series ‘Sacred Games’ are also some interesting projects lined up in his kitty.
Quiet, resonant, and creative, he can be seen immersed in his own world, and puts in his heart and soul into the one passion that he has, Bollywood. His line for survival? Feel happy to be a part of it.
