All you need to know about Saiyami Kher’s character in ‘Mirzya’

A visual stunner in every sense, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mirzya‘ marks the Bollywood debut of newcomers Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. The trailer of this period drama was released recently, garnering praises from nooks and corners. The film is a contemporary take on the legendary love story of Mirza-Sahibaan.

Apart from the trailer and Harshvardhan’s impressive act in the promo, it is the lead actress, Saiyami Kher’s stellar performance that has been garnering praises from everyone. Saiyami’s character in the film runs parallel between the historical setting, where she re-enact’s Sahiba, the love of legend Mirza, and the contemporary setting, where her love is similar to her centuries-ago counterpart.

Looking at the trailer, it is evident that Saiyami’s character in the film is free-spirited. While in the folklore, she is on a run with her prince charming, the contemporary story sees Saiyami’s character being in a relation with someone, but still searching for her childhood’s long lost love. She is delicate, strong and bewildered with thoughts, but at the same time is an intense lover.

We will now have to wait until this October to find out more about what this powerhouse of talent has in store for us.

Comprising of Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s music, ‘Mirzya’ is set to release on October 7.
