Allu Arjun is NOT doing Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, Here’s why

Allu Arjun was reportedly offered a role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan directed by Atlee. However, Allu Arjun has said no to the upcoming project.

Shah Rukh Khan recently delivered a terrific performance in Pathaan. The Siddharth Anand directorial which has already crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark globally is still going strong at the box office. King Khan will be next seen in Jawan. Jawan is one of the most-awaited films of this year. It was recently reported that Allu Arjun was offered a special role in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan. However, as per the latest update, Allu Arjun has turned down Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s Jawan.

Here’s why Allu Arjun is not doing Jawan

Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “The narration happened with the makers but Allu Arjun couldn’t say yes to the film due to his choco block schedule. Allu Arjun has been training rigorously to get into the skin of his character for Pushpa: The Rule and for the next few months, he is only going to focus on it. Pushpa 2 shoot is underway at a fast pace with two major schedules wrapped in Vizag and Hyderabad.”

The report further added, “Allu Arjun did take his time to think about Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, where he was offered a small yet impactful role but it’s quite difficult to choose over Pushpa.”

Allu Arjun’s fans are excited to see him in the Pushpa sequel. The actor will be back as Pushpa Raj and Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as Srivalli. The upcoming sequel also stars Fahadh Faasil. The makers are yet to announce the release date of Pushpa: The Rule.

Coming back to Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s Jawan, it is the first time the actor and director have collaborated. Fans are already convinced that the upcoming movie will be a hit. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen sharing screen space with Nayanthara in the same.

In June last year, King Khan dropped the first look teaser of Jawan and raised fans’ excitement. The actor had revealed that Jawan will be released on 2nd June, 2023.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the pipeline. The actor-director have collaborated for the first time. Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu. Dunki is slated to release in December this year.
