TV writer, producer and director Vinta Nanda, shared a post on Monday, in which she alleged that Alok Nath raped her a number of times. She narrated the incident to IANS via SMS.

In an interview with ABP, the actor said that someone else might have done this to her. He said, “Kuch to log kahenge. Neither I am denying this nor do I would agree with it. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it. Well, I do not want to talk much about it as for the matter if it has come out, it will be stretched.” The actor even said that Vinta has opened up on this due to the ongoing #MeToo movement in the industry.

He further said, “However, we only have to hear to women’s stand because they are considered weak.” When he was asked about the reactions of people as his image is maligned now, the actor said,  “What do I have to do with people? People will say anything to spoil the image. Leave my image, whatever has been said, it is absurd. It is useless to react to the allegations as in today’s world whatever a woman says, only that will be considered. In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything.”

We are really shocked to hear this reaction from Alok Nath who has always carried the label of ‘sanskari babuji’. Now let’s see how Vinta reacts to it.
