Raising the level of expectations for each music lover with their upcoming songs, albums or singles, composer-singer Amaal Mallik and his younger brother Armaan Malik are all ready to add another feather to their cap as they turn judges for a radio singing reality show titled ‘The Big Golden Awards’.
Feeling much proud and honoured to take this responsibility at a very young age, Amaal said in one of his statements that, “I’m very excited as it’s the first time Armaan and I are judging a show together, and people do not usually become judges at such a young age, so it’s an honour.”
“I liked the idea of radio reality show as here, only the singing talent of the singers is considered and doesn’t look for ‘X-factor’ like other reality shows,” he added.
Amaal who considers it’s difficult to judge a show said that he would be practically looking into the details of “sur and taal” (rhythm and beats) but the feel is the most important thing.
Amaal, who is inspired by renowned composers AR Rahman and Pritam, added that singers should take motivation from the singing sensation Arijit Singh, who was once eliminated from a reality show. Even his brother Armaan was eliminated from a show, but he never quit and kept on singing.
