Amaal Mallik opens up on his leg injury and blames it on security lapse

Singer-music composer Amaal Mallik recently injured his leg while performing at a concert in Allahabad. Reportedly, the singer was mobbed by his fans and fell on the floor, resulting in an injured leg and a torn jacket. But, the singer-composer blames the security instead for the ruckus and not his fans. (Also Read: Amaal Mallik suffers a leg injury during a concert)

Speaking with DNA, he says, “It was unfortunate that I hurt myself while signing autographs and clicking selfies. But I’m getting better and should be fit in no time!” He further stated that his fans were too excited and happy and they are not to be blamed. Says Amaal, “The security wasn’t up to the mark.”

He further talks about the injury saying, “I already have a ligament and meniscus tear in my left knee due to an eight-year-old football injury and this one happened with my right foot. My foot landed wrong due to the commotion and due to the fences getting breached. It then got stepped on by the audience and it got really badly sprained and swollen. Luckily, it’s not a fracture but it’s a bad muscle injury, but no tear, thankfully.”
