Ameesha Patel makes an interesting revelation about Rakesh Roshan from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai Days, READ ON

Gadar 2: The Katha Continues marks the return of Ameesha Patel to the big screens. It was in the year 2000 when the actress made her debut in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai alongside Hrithik Roshan. Post this, the actress gave another blockbuster with Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, alongside Sunny Deol.

Ameesha Patel on being recognized by Rakesh Roshan

Now, the actress has opened up about being recognized by Rakesh Roshan in a wedding and how she signed a contract for the film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. The film stood directed by Rakesh Roshan who also had launched Hrithik Roshan into the industry with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.

As Ameesha recently visited The Kapil Sharma Show, the actress was asked about a rumor that she was spotted by Rakesh Roshan when Ameesha around the age of 14-15. To this actress said, “That is true but when he mentioned this I was just 14-15 year-old. He said that he wanted to cast me with Hrithik. My family was not ready and they denied it as we belonged to a political-business background and I was going to Boston to study.”

According to ETimes, the actress further added, “But then when I returned from Boston, we were again at a wedding and I was leaving, when Rakesh uncle came. At first, he couldn’t recognise me and he asked and my family said, ‘This is Ameesha, she just returned from Boston. In two days I had signed Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’s contract and in a week’s time I was shooting.”

About Gadar 2 – The Katha Continues

Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol will reprise their roles as Sakina and Tara Singh. The film also marks the debut of Utkarsh Sharma who will play the role of Sakina and Tara Singh’s son in the film. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film will clash with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 as the two films are releasing on 11 August.
