Ameesha Patel surrenders before Ranchi Court in a 2018 cheque bounce case

Actor Ameesha Patel is gearing up to come back to the silver screen with Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. As fans are all excited to see Sakeena with Tara Singh again onscreen, Ameesha has found herself in hot waters. Well, according to the reports in ANI, Ameesha has surrendered herself before the Ranchi Civil Court due to her connection to a 2018 cheque bounce case.

According to the news agency, Ameesha was asked to present herself before the court on June 21. For now, she has been granted conditional bail. For the unversed, in 2018, Ameesha attended a programme at Harmu Ground in Ranchi where she met a businessman named Ajay Kumar Singh who Lovely World Entertainment. Reportedly, she and the businessman had a discussion over the financing of a film. However, the film was never released and the businessman demanded Ameesha to return his money. Nevertheless, the Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actor returned Rs 2.50 crore but the cheque got bounced.

On June 9, Ameesha celebrated her birthday with the utmost zeal and zest. She even shared a video on her Instagram saying, “Birthday celebrations continue.
