Films like Gadar promote unity, says Ameesha Patel

Gadar 2 is a film that fans have wanted to see for a long time. Fans got what they were asking for after two decades of wait. The second part of the love story of Tara Singh and Sakeena. At a press event, we saw Ameesha Patel talking about what the fans can expect from the sequel. she was wearing a pink salwar suit and minimal makeup.

“Gadar is one of those films which spread hatred, only love. It showed all religions, castes and creeds as one. The film shows that a girl from Pakistan, a Muslim marries a Hindu and still hasn’t forgotten her religion. As a matter of fact, Sunny Deol who plays Tara Singh accepted her religion and respected her. Films like Gadar promote unity with respect to religion and we should all live as one, in harmony. Gadar 2 follows a similar path”, Patel said.

Ameesha Patel will be resuming her role of Sakeena in the sequel along with Sunny Deol who will be playing Tara Singh. Gadar 1 created a new wave of nationalism in the country. The lead actors won hearts with their performances as Sakeena and Tara Singh. The songs were also much loved and still rules millions of hearts. 

Gadar 2 is helmed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zee Studios. It features Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles. Gadar 2 is scheduled to be released on August 11, 2023. Gadar 2 will clash on the big screens with Ranbir Kapoor‘s gangster drama Animal. The movie is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Kabir Singh fame. It also features Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
