Actor Vikrant Massey shocked fans with his retirement post on social media on Monday (December 2). A day prior, Vikrant clarified his post, as he stated that there was a misinterpretation and that he would be taking a break from acting. As soon as he shared the post, several fans expressed their disappointment and urged him to reconsider.
Vikrant Massey’s upcoming line-ups for 2025
The 37-year-old actor is set to start the new year with a blast as he has many films in his kitty. He is expected to star in upcoming films like Yaar Jigri, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, and TME.
He will also be a part of Yaar Jigri alongside Sunny Singh. The film is centred around the theme of friendship and is directed by Amit Joshi. It went on floors in 2018, and it is expected to be released in 2025. As per reports, Yaar Jigri might premiere directly on OTT.
He will also be reuniting with Broken But Beautiful Season 1 director Santosh Singh in the film Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan. The romance film is based on a short story by Ruskin Bond – The Eyes Have It. Reportedly, Vikrant will play the role of a blind musician in the drama. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Shanaya Kapoor. According to the reports, the post-production of the film is in the works and it will be released in 2025.
Reportedly, Vikrant has two more line-ups he will be reuniting with The Sabarmati report co-star Raashi Khanna for titled, Talakhon Mein Ek. It is directed by Bodhayan Roychaudhury.
Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey will be seen in the documentary Zero Se Restart, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It will be released on December 13 this year. The film offers a BTS look at the making of the film 12th Fail.
His latest release was The Sabarmati Report also stars Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in lead roles. It is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, a worldwide release by Zee Studios.
