From being Amitabh Bachchan‘s daughter in ‘Yudh’ to playing a rebellious character in Alankrita Shrivastava’s ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’, it has been an enriching journey for actress Aahana Kumra, to say the least. And nothing feels better than receiving admiration from none other than Big B. Right?
Aahana, who plays a beautician in the film, sent the newly launched trailer to Bachchan and he loved it. He later took to Twitter and wrote, “Friend and co-artist Aahana, sends me her film trailer.. looks bold and different ..” [sic] (Also Read: ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ to open the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017)
“For a young actor like me, working with Mr Bachchan was truly the most rewarding experience of my life. He has been very supportive of my work and always appreciates every little detail! In fact I was so overwhelmed this morning to see that he tweeted about the film and that just made my day! He’s called the film different and bold! Exactly what we stand for! I’m grateful that people across the globe have loved the film and I hope it gets the same reception in our motherland,” Aahana says, as she sounds over-joyed.
The film, also starring Konkona Sensharma and Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles, hits the theatres on July 21.
