Amitabh Bachchan: Aug 2,the day I lived Again

Amitabh Bachchan had got a second lease of life on August 2 1982 .He always celebrates this day as his second birthday.Last year Big B had posted on his blog dated July31/August1,2012.”Happy birthday Mr B, and never forget I was the first one to wish you”.

This year too the same thing was done by him, he has once again posted on his blog,”Aug 2, the day I lived again … my Coolie accident … brought to Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai and second surgery performed, where when I did not come out, was clinically dead for a few minutes … so many that know wish me a Happy Birthday for today … Many thanks in advance .For it was the prayers of millions of my countrymen that saved my life.”

This event had taken place on the sets of Manmohan Desai’s Coolie ,a mistimed jump had made him hit the corner of a table and he had collapsed .Immediately flown from Bangalore to Mumbai’s Breach Candy .Where he was operated upon but to no avail ,he lingered between life and death with the nation praying for him. Ultimately the doctors had plunged an adrenaline injection straight into his heart and a slight movement of his toe was noticed by his wife Jaya. This was Mr Bachchan’s second lease of life.
