Amitabh Bachchan declares Abhishek Bachchan as his ‘heir’

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reacted to his son Abhishek Bachchan’s Dasvi trailer. The Piku star is very impressed with son Abhishek Bachchan’s work in the new trailer of his upcoming film. He took his blog and Twitter on Wednesday night and penned an emotional note. BIG B elaborated on how proud he felt about his son and also declared Abhishek as his heir.

Posting the Dasvi trailer link on Twitter, Amitabh quoted his father, writer-poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan in his tweet. He wrote, “Mere bete, bete hone se tum mere uttradhikari nahi hoge. Abhishek, tum mere uttradhikari hoge, bus keh diya to keh diya” Abhishek quickly replied, “Love you Dad, always and forever.”

Big B further wrote on his blog. “And with immense pride I do say that Abhishek is my ‘uttaradhikaari’ ..his continued efforts, at attempting different and dare I say difficult roles, to portray, are not just a challenge, but a mirror shown to the world of cinema, on his ability as an actor and for them to assuage his credibility and tenacity! They that criticise and ridicule the inability of another, for their inadequacy on a subject, do so, because they themselves do not have the capacity or the ability for the adequacy of the subject.”

Dasvi’s trailer came out Wednesday and was widely appreciated. Abhishek Bachchan has garnered much appreciation for his role. The film also features Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles. Dasvi is scheduled to premiere on April 7, on the streaming platform, Netflix.
