Assam is affected by floods caused due to incessant rains for the past few days. From common men to politicians of the state, everyone is extending their helping hands towards the flood-affected areas. Our celebrities are also not left behind. After Akshay Kumar, now megastar Amitabh Bachchan has donated for Rs 51 lakh for Assam floods.
Assam’s Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal took to his Twitter handle to thank Mr. Bachchan for “contributing Rs. 51 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund”.

A few days back, Akshay Kumar donated Rs 2 crore and Rs 1 crore each to the Assam CM’s Relief Fund and Kaziranga National Park. Also, he asked everyone to contribute in this “hour of crisis”.

The death toll rose to 68 on Tuesday. As per reports, at least 2,523 villages and 1.27 lakh hectare crop land are still underwater in the flood-hit areas.
